So I love everything about Vortex.  I can’t even really explain why.   I like there name.  I like there funky sign.  I like their somewhat off the beat locale.  Vortex was created to “create innovative productions of original work” and they do.   Basically if you want to see really cool off beat plays Vortex is the place to go.

The Austin Playhouse is located at 3601 South Congress.   Its a little tucked away off of South Congress near Ruta Maya.  It open in 2000-2001.   The theatre seats around 150 people.   It operates as a non profit.   This season they are showing
